=Definicja=
Adipogenesis is the process of adipose tissue formation from multipotent stem cells originating from the third germ layer. The cell at an early stage of differentiation becomes an adipose tissue progenitor cell (APC) and then, after multiplication, undergoes the differentiation process resulting formation of adipocytes filled with fatty acids.
Adipogenezą nazywamy proces tworzenia tkanki tłuszczowej przez multipotencjalne komórki macierzyste, pochodzące z trzeciego listka zarodkowego. Komórka we wczesnym stadium różnicowania staje się komórką progenitorową tkanki tłuszczowej (APC z j. ang Adipose Progenitor Cell), a następnie po namnożeniu przechodzi w stan różnicowania, w wyniku którego wypełnia się kwasami tłuszczowymi.
